  • I think the idea of the black on surf green is great. I saw you put it latter in your videos with white pots and pickups cover and took the painted wings of...

I think its awsome... with a white pick gard its very retro but with black...

so the mics are vintage solo in the bridge and hs2 in neck and center?

didnt you have the original pickups ?

  • @smartti1970 no, original pickups were long gone when i got it. the dimarzios do a better job for me, anyway, they are noiseless and i use a lot of pedals and gain at times, and vintage pickups get really noisy at gigs :-)

  • It actually is the ugliest strat I've ever seen, from any year! PLEASE tell me it's not an actual '69...

  • yep....it's a REAL 1969 strat. someone in the big 80s (NOT ME) routed it for the floyd, and refinned it surf green........so it will NEVER be original again. but it's one HELL of a player, and one of the best sounding vintage strats i have ever owned.....and i will probably play it til i'm dead :-)

  • Getting this one this Tuesday! Can't wait!

  • Hey, Bobby. How does the decay on that compare to the Sonic Titan? Loved the pedal, but that decay...::shudders::

  • yes dude its the way to go , I have floyds on all my strats , if you keep the nut and have lock behind its even better for the vintage , floyd dont change the tone anyway , you either want a guitar that stays in tune of not ! , and Standard a strats trem dont ! , if its good enough for Zappa its good enough for anyone

theres too much of this sentimental got to have the correct everything bullshit , get real bigtophalloween and listen to the sound thats why we all started playing (right)??

  • Truly awesome!
