Sorry for taking so long to post. I ended up going out last night and I had to work this morning.

"Nicholas?" Paul asked from the doorway.

"Yes?"

"How's the copying coming?"

Nick sighed and looked down at the blank notebook page in front of him and the unopened bible. "Just great." He said sarcastically.

"Nicholas..." His father warned.

"Dad, I'm sorry about what happened. I don't even know why I did it. I know it was wrong. I don't know... I was just... curious... or something." Nick was trying to explain himself the best he could. He didn't have to even try to lie when he said that he knew it was wrong. He just needed to get his dad off his case. Nick knew that his dad didn't fully understand the concept, otherwise he would known you can't ground someone out of being gay, so Nick took advantage over that fact. "I've learned my lesson. I never want to do anything that will ever upset you or mom, Joe, Kevin, or Frankie, any of our friends and family, and especially never anything to disappoint god."

Paul almost got a tear of joy in his eyes when he heard his son's speech. His son was no longer gay; that was all that mattered to him now. Paul walked over to Nick, who was sitting in his desk chair, and wrapped him in a hug. "I'm very proud of you, son."

Nick embraced the hug. After they pulled away, Nick asked with the best pleading face that he could give, "Daddy, am I still grounded?"

"Yes, Nick. I want you to remember your mistake for a long time." Nick whimpered for an added effect. "BUT," Paul added when Nick started to pout. "If you stay on your best behaviour, I'll might lessen the sentence."

Nick had a week before he NEEDED to be ungrounded. In a week and a day from today, it would be his and Joe's two (typo) year anniversary. They started going out the day before Joe's fifteenth birthday. Now Joe was turning eighteen the day after their anniversary. All Nick had to do was be good for one week, doing every ridicules punishment and therapy that his father would ask him to do, and more than likely his dad will say that he was only grounded for a week.

"You have about three hours before dinner, that's not a lot of time for twenty bible pages. If you get done early, start on the next twenty pages that I will ask you to do tomorrow."

"Okay." Nick moaned. His dad left.
