UFO Documentary - Australia (2009) - Westall 1966: A Suburban UFO Mystery (FULL)

At approximately 11.00 am on Wednesday, 6 April 1966, a class of students and a teacher from Westall High School (now Westall Secondary College) were just completing sports on the main oval when an object, described as being a grey saucer shaped craft with a slight purple hue and being about twice the size of a family car, was alleged to have been seen. Witness descriptions were mixed: Andrew Greenwood, a science teacher, told The Dandenong Journal at the time that he saw a silvery-green disc. According to witnesses the object was descending and then crossed and overflew the high school's south-west corner, going in a south-easterly direction, before disappearing from sight as it descended behind a stand of trees and into a paddock at The Grange in front of the Westall State School (primary students). After a short period (approximately 20 minutes) the object - with witnesses now numbering over 200 - then climbed at speed and departed towards the north-west. As the object gained altitude some accounts describe it as having been pursued from the scene by five unidentified aircraft which circled the object.

I read a book by Bob Lazar in the 90's, I have check out countless pages of UFO material on the internet since 1995, I am aware of the supposed propulsion systems that they use that are apparently not affected by the forces of nature such as the resulting effect of inertia, gravity..etc.

But there is more to this obviously than wishing your real life to be the game Mass Effect or an episode of Star Trek.

You have probably heard this quote before and it comes from the late Astronomer Carl Sagan and that is -:

"Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence"

Aliens most likely do exist given the enormity of this universe but as to whether they can get here and those in the craft are of Alien origin remains to be "seen".

Have I ever researched UFO's, why is it that the assumption that I haven't comes up when I don't agree with everything? How do you learn "anything" in your world?

No one is blowing this off you are just blowing everything out of proportion in relation to what I said to fit your world view which is a very dogmatic position to take.

I completely agree that supernatural has NO claim on fact and that at the very least UFO's are observable and have been seen by many, but if you don't look at both side of every coin and developed an almost religious sense of dogma in your thinking then there is absolutely no way you will learn anything.

Thank you James and I completely agree with you also. Something "did" happen that day at Westall, the children and teachers "did" see what they claim to have seen but as for the time period and with everything that was going on including the Cold War period, then yes it's a little bit presumptuous for people to claim they were Aliens in the craft.

And to be honest we seem to have this ridiculous mindset now that the public should know "everything". National security is why we DON'T know.
