Lo cierto es q el tipo pegaba...ahora el profesionalismo tiene su cosa y hay q darle peleas de preparacion antes de ponerlo con las estrellas del pro....hay q pulirlo pero de q pega, pega y duro..
I CAN TELL ALL YOU BLOKES ONE THING , IF STEVENSON SET FOOT IN THE RING WITH ALI , FRAZIER , FOREMAN AND NORTON ALL IN THEIR PRIME HE WOULD HAVE BEEN SLAPPED AROUND THE RING LIKE A RAG DOLL. MASSIVE JUMP GOING FROM AMATEUR TO PRO HEAVY WEIGHT CHAMP . A COUPLE OF HUGE CANNONS FROM FOREMAN WOULD HAVE SORTED HIM OUT GOOD AND PROPER, NO CHANCE FOLKS.
Stevenson was already past his prime in this fight..Three gold medals..He had a lot to learn about pro. style is all...pro has some dirty customers...This boy could have made it..Period fools.
@Soulblackman man only ali moves better frazier was a plodder and so was foreman stevenson also had decent speed for a heavyweight the pros dont improve ur skills they just test your toughness
@ufufjdsjsjfh No. They move better, and have the experience NOT to get caught by the SLOW punches of Stevenson. STUDY his style. Very slow and deliberate. Unless he did go into the pros to improve his skills, at that stage, he would get killed by fairly decent pros.
@Soulblackman lol if anything pro's are easier to connect with considering the fact that amateur is cored based on clean punches landed if thats what your saying
@ufufjdsjsjfh I'm saying that as powerful as Stevenson was, he did NOT have the skills to connect with PROS! He would NOT do to Ali, Foreman, Frazier, etc. at THAT point in his career, what he did in the Olympics. Besides, as long as he fought in the Olympics, he had a "pro" experience over all who he fought.
@Soulblackman so i guess george foreman frazier patterson liston none of those guys connected? your making ali sound like he never got hit while he did have the one of the greatest footwork he could be hit i mean the guy didnt get parkinson's for no reason
