Big band, The Bakers Dozen playing at the Elephant room in Austin Texas. The Bakers Dozen is a 12 piece Jazz band. They play at the Elephant room on the second Wednesday of every month.

  • to continue.........The name is derived from the name of Paul's music publishing and retail company Baker's Jazz And More (dot com) where this music can be purchased as arranged for a full-sized jazz band. Soloists, in order, are Paul Baker, bari sax, Mike Sailors, trumpet, Steven Vague, tenor sax, and Freddie Mendoza, trombone.

  • Actually, we're a 13pc group, hence the name, Baker's Dozen. This video was shot on December 14th, 2011 at the Elephant Room in Austin, Texas. We're playing the first half of Paul Baker's The BJAM Blues, which is not in the key of B and has nothing to do with Duke Ellington, but has some of the same notes.
