Keep in mind that everything done in Nazi Germany was legal at the time. And they viewed the U.S. as a dangerous threat.

and many of those people being tortured are suspects -- there has been no confirmation of guilt

who care if we have to torture some one to get info from them, what happens when an iraqi captures us???? they torture and kill us on national telivsion at least we keep it secret.

we need to get the truth out to the world and stop breaking laws though we dissagree on many issues usually due to religion this does not mean we can't seek peace we need to help the radicals from all sides especially islamic ones realize that the vast majority of us want peace and co existance. if they will not stop killing those on our side will not stop and it is an endless cycle of death.

cleverest american ive ever met. very atriculate and obviously has a complete knowledge of what he was doing, morals behind it and the various arguements for / against the use of torture + the value of it

It is a well established fact that information gathered through the use of torture is completely unreliable. Basicaly if they torture you enough, you will admit that the earth is flat.
