OMG! Just realized how much I missed back then by playing Speccy games on my black&white little TV :(

@notbobtoo i was just about to say renegade to u but then you mentioned it, its funny how proffesionals think alike!

I have to correct you there. The hires didn't restrict the total count of colors, it restricted the usable colors in a 8x8 square: 1 color for ink and 1 for background. Since the background was fixed for the whole screen, this meant effective 1 color XD. The color mode offered 2 more colors but only the half resolution in width. Anyway, with raster interrupt they managed to mix these modes (even with text modes). Was there such possibility on the Spectrum? Greets!

crouch and punch? come on now....where's the roundhouse kicks?.....no better feeling when playing that game than giving the opponent a kick to the face and lifting him off his feet :)

The speccy was faster compared to the C64 and much better at doing vector graphics for that reason.

This was probably the best fight game on the speccy for many years (then Renegade arrived). Seeing this is very nostalgic.
Very good game. Bug Byte's Kung Fu was also a good game for its time - came out early - possibly even year zero (1982) and was very playable and atmospheric - if sightly slow.

@softlystroll I enjoyed it back then but there's not enough variety in it. It was amazing for the time. Loved the early Kung Fu game. The replay option was unique for the time.

This game has the most satisfying impact sounds in the history of video games. Smack! Ker-thump.
