The robots have had their programmes tampered with and they have a new target to destroy - Tom Baker's Doctor Who. Classic comedy clip from the BBC.

  • Shame they didn't post the next bit, coss it's hilarious (or maybe someone else has?).

    The robot with a Laserson probe stuck in its head is tricked by the Doctor, who puts his hat and scarf on another robot. The damaged robot's vision isn't very good, so he mistakes it for the Doctor and tries to strangle it:

    "Do not kill me", says the other robot.

    "V4, that is not the Doctor", says SV7. You can almost hear the exasperation :}

    Yeah, I'm a Doctor Who geek, but I love this story.

  • You twerps. A bit of digital video and some extra cash and the new Dr Who becomes "classic". It would be nowhere without the legacy from the earlier series.

  • @meohmy320 This is episode 4 (I think) of The Robots of Death, the fourth story in Season 14. It was one of the first stories to get a DVD release.

  • why am i watching these clips when i have the episode at home?

  • These Robots are awesome! They have inspired so many future Doctor Who robots and villains like the Ood (which did come from the Sensorites aswell) and the Hosts

  • @teenageatheist same and i'm only 12 but i think the classics rule

  • May sound silly but are these the same robots from Voyage of the Damned?

  • Lol, the descrpition says that this is a comedy clip.

  • Perhaps this has been said before, but I think the description of this clip from the BBC is wrong - "classic comedy clip?"

    This isn't even a jokey scene from a later season. (I could understand it as comedy in that case). Tut tut, BBC - surely classic Doctor Who isn't a joke to you.

  • You can see the inspiration for the Host from Voyage of the Damned here, or is that just me?

  • what is this actual episode called?
