  • Classmates also routinely sends e-mails indicating that one of the recipient's classmates is looking for him/her. Allegedly, this is frequently untrue, and Classmates currently faces a lawsuit for this practice (which, if the allegation is true, constitutes fraud).

  • Controversial business practices

    It is standard practice for Classmates to auto-renew memberships at the end of each billing period. In December 2006, when PC World magazine field tested several companies to determine how easy or difficult it was to cancel their service, Classmates was one of the companies that received their worst rating.

  • Classmates is a total rip off and should avoided at all costs. They have a reputation for overbilling their members, renewing memberships without consent of their members, and are facing a number of lawsuits. Just google customer complaints against classmates for further information.
