JIMMY WEBB

Jimmy Webb receives an honorary Doctor of Music degree. He is the only artist to ever receive Grammy awards for music, lyrics, and orchestration. Between 1966 and 1969 alone, he was responsible for writing such platinum-selling classics as "By the Time I Get to Phoenix," "Wichita Lineman," "Up Up and Away," "MacArthur Park," and "Didn't We," producing and arranging the hit versions of several of those songs.

I've read Joe Walsh also has been bestowed with an honorary doctorate of music, I'm blank on the school right now. Both honors very well deserved to say the least, if these two guys aren't "doctors" of music, who is? Way to go Jimmy Webb. I've read they both have led pretty hard lives and to see them come thru is great.
