Sheriff aids in animal abuse!.m4v

Jefferson County Idaho Sheriff Blair Olsen has a vendetta against Andi Elliott the director of the Upper Valley Humane Society in southeastern Idaho! They told her that she is an outsider and they don't appreciate her sticking her nose in where it isn't wanted! This Sheriff is refusing to enforce Idaho law in a severe case of dereliction of duty and gross miscarriage of justice concerning animal abuse! Idaho is one of the worse states for animal abuse and neglect! Even he says in the first of these stories that if the owner does nothing to help the dog it is cruelty. Four days in the snow with broken bones and nursing puppies is doing something?! So he persecutes the rescuers while refusing to prosecute the abusers! HE IS ENABLING ANIMAL ABUSE!!! Idahoans are hard core xenophobes! They HATE outsiders with few exceptions! I know this happened a couple of years ago but I think it's crazy that these people had legal issues related to helping an animal that the law would not. They even had the owner of the dogs permission. The fire dept can send out a firetruck to save a cat from a tree. Heavy equiptment is brought out to save horses down wells but getting this dog medical attention was too much for the sheriff to do? Then harrassing the concerned citizens...WTF!?!is this world coming to?

Blair is a joke, this is not the only time something like this has happened here, North Idaho is not the best place for animals but there are those like my self who care about animals here, I worked in a animal shelter for several years, but something this bad is rare, although still not the first time. And I am from North Idaho in case you coulden't tell. ;-)

Watched the whole video. Former law enforcement officer and current animal shelter volunteer. Blair Olsen has no business being a sheriff anywhere. As is stated in the initial post, dereliction of duty, failure to enforce existing laws and maliciously charging people volunteering to rescue the suffering animals. Olsen has mental problems if he thinks his failure to act was part of the oath he took. I would love to meet him and knock his dumb ass around the room a few times!

I have followed this story almost from the start, the Sherriff is beyond corrupt, anyone that protects a criminal instead of the laws he was hired to protect should be under investigation! I know if I didnt bother to do my job and lied I would be fired. This sherriff makes things up as he goes and how ever it suits his need

I just called the Sheriff's office to ask what happened to the owner of this dog and why hasn't he/she been prosecuted for animal neglect/abuse. I was told to NOT listen to the media because they're blowing things out of proportion and to call back on Monday and speak to the sheriff personally.

Dogs dont vote! The Sheriff didnt do anything to the owner because people vote; and a Sheriff (an elected official) doesnt want to piss off a voter! The owner should be charged with neglect and cruelty to animals. The Sheriff should also be charged with neglect, he was informed of a problem and for days didnt do anything about it. Let the voters show the Sheriffs office what they think about it and dont re-elect this guy. Who says he wont turn his back on a victim of domestic violence?

this sheriff needs to lose his job. he's pissed off about being made to look like an idiot by this nice woman and the man who helped her load up the dogs, so he's retaliating. what a load of crap.

there's a number to call the sheriff's office -- everyone should make use of that.

law enforcement people seem to like to use their power only to protect themselves.
