  • Update: Just finished my audition... hope I make it!

  • A lovely version of this Debussy, full of character. Most versions I have heard of this have been faster, but as I don't have the score I can't say I don't prefer this tempo. You use a lot of rubato, but I think most contemporary musicians use too little so that is praise from me!

  • Thanks!

  • I like your performance very much!!!

This piece by Debussy wants much "expression" I think this is the main behind this. And you did a really great job!!

  • @Chopin1986 Oh and by the way, I really want some more criticism... pretend that I'm your student, so what would you say to me to improve it?

  • Oh... well... *smile*

I don't know if I am a good teacher. But maybe you can listen to other interpretation by some pianist. Pick out your favourite ones and combine it with your own style. If you listen to others you get a better picture of your own performance. I mean, your performance is really good. I like your rubato. Maybe you use the pedal a bit too much .... like 0:49. I don't know the score exactly. Maybe Dubussy wrote it that way. But all in all it's really good.

  • Thanks! You're right at 0:49 because my sostenuto pedal doesn't work 100%. Thanks again!

  • This Debussy piece requires a lot of variations of tones and notes. You've mostly made it except for some small details, like it's not that consistent I mean the other notes were not that emphasized. I don't know the exactly what the score tells, but these comments are just based on my senses. Sometimes you overuse the pedal that it became so vague sometimes. But then, it was a wonderful version made by you. I hope this one helps.

  • @Chopin1986 Thanks!
