@BornBW For the record my wife is 5'2 100lb and she drives a zx6 Ninja lowered. I started her on a 125 dirt bike to teach her how to shift and turn. She never rode before. After a week or 2 on the sand she drove a ninja 250 one time then went to the 600. If you know how to ride safely then you can ride any bike that you can hold up. All comes down to personal preference.

@SkatesPraise A bike is only as fast as it's rider. I have had about 6 friends say "I should have gotten a 600 instead of the ninja 250 cuz now i see what you mean". 400 is ok but when you start riding you will get use to it within a few days. The more comfortable you get with a small bike the more bored you get. My zx14 can do 10mph just as easily as a 400cc bike. Just because the power is on tap doesn't mean you have to use it. No matter what the bike just don't be careless. EVER.
