He left SOiL because he couldnt stand how everybody in the music industry was trying to fuck him over, so he quit music for a while, then Dave Williams of Drowning Pool died and the band was left without a vocalist, Drowning Pool then recruited Jason "Gong" Jones, and that didnt work out, so they called Ryan, who was a very good friend of the band, if he would join, at first he was reluctant, but when Daves parents told him to go for it, because it is what Dave would want, he did.

When I first heard him it was in drowning pool and honestly I thought he was a shitty singer but then I listened to soil and it's like WTF happened ??? Soil is amazing how could he leave this for that ?

What Myphesto said.... That was a picture of Drowning Pool. And Ryan broke my heart when he sold out and went to Drowning Pool. He is nothing without Soil What a shame...
