Have you ever been to a club and the Dj wanna be is overdoing it with effects and has no clue about gain structure is is playing in the red constantly?? Annoying! By all means embrace the future technology but don't ruin your sets by over doing it with these toys. Less is better. The advantage maybe playing high quality music files instead of those nasty/shitty mp3s!

Being a great DJ is mostly about playing good music, playing the right tune at the perfect time, PROGRAMING.. NOT just beat matching and nonsense tricks and messing with a with a great song..
