I made excuses about my obesity for years ("this is just the way I am and people should accept/not judge me", "it runs in my family/it's genetic", I don't have time"). Then I realized that those excuses were only hurting me. They didn't protect me from criticism, they just kept me trapped in an unhealthy cycle.

When I started, it was all I could do to walk to the end of the block and back. But by just sticking with it, the weight has been coming off and I have been able to do more and more in terms of exercise. It is hard, and you have to take responsibility for your own body and be willing to invest the time and money needed (whole foods do cost more than processed, fatty foods), but it is possible and worth it.

@bundleHastings I haven't been following her specifically, but have been doing the kinds of things she is talking about. I have lost 115 pounds in the last 8 months. I have just reformed the way I eat (mostly whole grains and fresh fruits and vegetables, plus calorie control), and tried to be more active.

I agree with Babigirl. Is there ANYONE on Youtube who has actually lost 200lbs by following all this crap advice?

and have you ever weighed more than a buck 05 Lady, someone like me is not going to listen to someone who has never been where I am.
The hard part about this video is it stops every 2 seconds, or every 2 words.

It really has nothing to do with what her weight has been. Anybody who has compassion to reach out to another is worth listening to. I couldn't understand a word she said, the vid kept stopping. Its a good thing it didnt go for an hour. LOL!! Sorry the thumbs down was an accident. I was down thumbing the vid for cutting off every 2 seconds.
