My take: A result is a result is a result, especially one decided upon by professionals. Point being, by focussing on the end, the means to the end itself are slighted. Words, however controversial and damaging, can be hurled across back and forth, but one can never take away the sweat and effort, the joys and rewards, of the performers themselves.
As spectators, let us truly indulge in the efforts of the performers instead. =)
