Your video series has been educational to me. I learned the name of the Me-Linh square, the HQ of ARVN Navy. I also became aware of, from your other clip, the smaller Cong-Hoa blvd near Tan-Son-Nhat airport was actually there during the war but off limit to public access. This is unknown to many Vietnamese at home and abroad. Thanks for revisiting and explaining the historical values attached to the remaining landmarks, as well as those already disappeared.
I worked out of VN Navy HQ as a naval advisor in 1970. The HQ building was the pink structure immediately behind the white structure shown at minute 1:59 of this video. You can see it at minute 3:27 and also in the birds-eye view. It's still there and is a beautiful piece of very old architecture.
Thanks very much! These videos are what I need and I have downloaded all of them. I really admire you! Making this serie of films should cost you a lot of time. I am a Vietnamese and I love my city before 1975
This brings back some good and bad memories. Almost no one has ever heard of NHA cept those few of us who worked for it.
