This country is in the process of deciding how much we want the gov to take care of us. You just have to realize, the more gov cares for you, the less personal freedom you have. You can't have the gov come in and take care of all the bad things in life without losing some of the good things. It is a trade off. You need to decide what you want. You can't have it both ways.

I love this country but I feel we are spending to much trying to care for people & It will hurt everyone in the end

Why do you think I didn't live through the cold war? I am about your age. My father was an engineer in the Air Force. I was very aware at what we were doing to keep communism out of this country, no I am not appauled. Seems we are inviting it in at this point.

Tell me this the same country it was 30 yrs ago because it isn't. People were expected to make their own way. There was some shame in needing the gov to care for you. Now it is expected.

This is the greatest country on earth. The reason for that is the freedom we have. Yes, there are some drawbacks to having that freedom but that is the price to be paid for personal freedom. When you want the gov to step in and fix everthing, this is the kind of thing that happens. You want the gov to step in and take care of everyone then gripe when they try. You can't have it both ways. Try moving to a communist country for a while then tell me how much you want the gov to take care of you.

Don't get me wrong, there is a place for gov but that place is not to act as a nanny. That place is not to be in our everyday lives watching out for us. The more gov takes care of you, the more rights you lose. Can you not see that? That is how things like this happen. You want these people making medical decisions for you?Seriously?
