Audio audience recording (with photos!) from an Elton John show in Las Vegas 2002 September 28. Rod Stewart, a long-time friend of Elton John's, was invited up to sing this duet. Rod, of course, had recorded his own very successful version of this Elton classic back in 1991 for the "Two Rooms" tribute album to Elton John and Bernie Taupin.

  • Tous ses albums ne me suffisent pas.. merci pour ces morceaux de mon Rod éparpillés !!

  • For all their years,Rod and Elton were none the less active and energetic as ever.

  • @DrFantastic1987 Lol! yeah, Elton sings this better than anyone.

  • I am very sorry , maybe I don't understand anything. But how can we cal the sound which Rod Stewart made ? Would it be honest to call it singing ?

Or just whispering ? Just wonder is it because he cannot sing at all or simply he was not in a very good shape at this perfomance ???

  • @scallly64 Listen to the words - that will tell you why...

  • wish their was a video of this ...so I can tell what the audience was chuckling about!

  • Hi RonnieFriend.. .... thanks for taking the time to reply, so detailed too. cute story.. theyre both so precious !

  • On April Fool’s Day 1991, Elton surprised Rod on stage at Wembley, wearing a dress and wig, dressed as Rod's wife Rachel Hunter. He kissed him and sat on his leg as Rod sang "You’re in My Heart". Two months later, Rod presented Elton with a music box inscribed, "To my dear Sharon, my left leg has never been the same. Love, Phyllis". They were both inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.
