I've been doing this for a few months, but AT&T is cracking down on people who tether without paying them. Not sure about verizon or sprint. Been with AT&T for about 3 years & thought I was grandfathered in for unlimited data, but they sent a text saying they knew what I've been doing and were going to start charging. Could have been the 75g I used in one month. PDANet is supposed to have the same, but you can hide from your carrier. I think you have to purchase for $20, but if it's a one time
