we saw this same set at the Stumul Fest in Prague last october. the first song here was three or four tunes into our set, while the last one (the ear-shattering feedback) was the opener. and man, it was a damned chandelier of feedback.. anyway, by the end of it i was sold. this guy's for real. the show was way beyond the confines of the simple concert. if you read up on him you'll find that he has an extensive background in theater, and that was clearly in evidence that night.

0xa0x0a0xax0a OMG !!!
seeing this live was unreal. at one point i had to take some steps back, cause it was just so damn loud, but so damn good, i just didn't want him to stop. hands down, best set of the night, sorry merzbow ;]
anyone know of any of his recordings that resemble anything like this? cause i bought a CD that night and it's nothing like this...

I've listened to around 20 Keiji records. I don't really have a suitable answer. Just listen to Keiji Haino & Yoshida Tatsuya - New Rap on Tzadik.

You'll get good guitar sound, song structure, and crushing Keiji vocals. Then maybe try Aihiyo - Live. Amazing covers including a Ronettes cover. Then maybe try Black Blues (both soft and violent versions). Then maybe try Uchu Ni Karami Tsuite Iru Waga Itami (Twined Around the Universe, My Pain) which is all those digital air theremin synth things. It's difficult to capture the entire show in 1 record.
