Endurance, consistency and passion are critical for running a marathon. However what does it take for someone to run a race of marathon-distance or longer - every month for over four and a half years?

Just ask Don Kern, the founder & race director of the Grand Rapids Marathon, who will be celebrating his 50th consecutive month of running a race that is at least 26.2 miles or longer at Monday's Boston Marathon. Don also just finished an around-the-world trek where he a ran a marathon on every continent in a mere 35 days.

Click on the image to watch Part 1 of his video interview with Adam Jacobs, TheFinalSprint.com's Editor-in-Chief, and hear Don discuss the streak, staying injury-free, his most exciting races and much more!
