oo your so lucky! i really want to do this but it's so bloody expensive. did you take these photographs yourself? did you go swimming with the fur seals? i read on the rodney website that theres a bit where the sharks dont go and you can go diving with them, there supposed to be very playful :-)

To everyone, that has posted comments regarding this video footage, especially the Seal. Let me add this tidbit into the fray. Seals ARE indeed, "natural prey" items to Great Whites, however.......When the shark or any predator "WORKS" for his kill, then its natural. To sit there, and give up a healthy Seal, as "bait" is wrong & animal abuse. Its no different, than throwing in your beloved Cat or Dog as a tasty morsel. So i can NOT sit here, and condone this sort of behavior towards this Seal...

NOT BAD IV DONE THIS VERY EXCITING

We gotta stop Killing sharks.. and fish
We got land
Why does man try to go and " take " part of the sea?
Let them live in peace in there water

I understand what you're saying and I don't enjoy watching an animal die anymore than you do. However, I don't find it sick as this is what they eat anyway. If it was a dog or a cat that they fed the shark it would be wrong.
If you say they should've fed it dead meat then you think man should kill the animal before feeding it to the shark? Do you think that would have been more appropriate. I don't

no I am not a vegetarian. I am a believer in the natural order of life and that means man does not place a seal on a board for easy pickings for the shark in the name of light entertainment. If you want to see a shark up close feed it dead meat not live animals that have no chance. That is interfering with the way the world works and mother nature.

For man to have an interest in the way another creature lives is important. It isn't the same as it is in thier usual environment but it is a compramise so that we can see this creature eating up close. Are you a vegatarian? I'm not but i admit the way those animals are treated is very cruel and far worse than giving a shark his dinner rather than letting him catch it for himself

In response to nxtplanet's questions, I did take all the pictures. I have been going out to South Australia every year since 1996 to film these sharks.Regarding the sea lions, yes you can dive with them at Hopkins Island, but remember that the sharks go anywhere they wish. The sea lions are playful, but if they all disappear, get out of the water!

The baby sea lion joined us voluntarily for about two hours. It watched everything intensely, and had it all figured out. It even joined the divers inside the cage to get our view of the sharks. When (we believe) it got hungry, it waited until two big sharks crossed in front of the cage, darted out behind their tails and raced to shore. Our boat crew saw it reach the rocks.
So, please, those with the intense comments should know what they are talking about before making accusations...

Great images! Love the music to it! Sound of hidden mysterious power and danger. Where does the music come from if I may ask?

It is the introductory title music for the film, 'Vertigo' a favorite from long ago with Cary Grant...
