because they rereleased the shuffle when they announced the colors, and they made the box font gray and included the new earbuds. the shuffle originally only came in sliver, with the old earbuds, and a green fonted box, which is shown here.

some people just prefer a light, colorful shuffle opposed to a big, clunky iPod video... get a life rich boy cause there's some peo. who have ALL 3!
