When I find it i've got vhs of my Torrie at Ingham 2000 burnout comp.Nothing spectacular,played it safe,just line-locks as I didn't have the skills(or maturity)for doughies & keeeping it off the barriers!

I had to drive it home(T'ville at the time)& blew 4 teeth off 3rd gear 2 days later.Bloody shit Holden g/boxes!!!!

Greg you're ok. See how we went from a couple of bathurst brawling yobbs to good mates - talking of bathurst I was at the mountain 2007 when ford went 1,2,3 so last years 1,2,3 hurt me badly but Ford had won the lst 3 so it was time.

My mechanic is a Holden man and drives the 2005 ex Jack Daniels Bathurst car in the Sports Sedan series in WA (pretty sick car). I will post a vid of my XA some time and my Kenny Bell blown AU Fairmont Ghia 410rwhp or 466rwhp on C16 race fuel. Seeya next time.

You're partly right about me not knowing much,that's why I asked how much your XA is insured for. What year is it? My understanding is they are around the same time as the LH/LX Torana as they were rivals at Bathurst 75-79?

My appreciation of old Fords has only really come about recently as any rare sightings bring back memories of my childhood when they were everywhere!

My apologies Greg - I will be more sensative. I like Holdens; in fact I like any good street car, just prefer Fords - I mean whether it's the mighty HO, a GS, or Mad Maxes XB coupe, or a Cobra, Landau or even an XE ESP Ford have such depth - problem with holden owners is they think an SS dunnydore (which every dipstick owns) passes as a street car - I mean at least an old VC/K 308 sounded the goods. If you ever want to settle the FORD v HOLDEN thing just as cabbies in OZ or USA - 92% FORD !!!!!

I may indeed be simple as you say but what I was trying to say is that Holden have a wider range of models getting good $ but I do agree that Ford does indeed hold the top prices for a few select models.

My main man Greg - good investment no doubt. It's a great thing that Ford GT's appreciated the way they have over the last 8 years as they dragged the Holdens and Chargers (great cars) along with them. Obviously national appeal ways massively towards the iconic GT's for good reason, but I don't mind the odd Torry - A9X coupes. Unregistered and incomplete sounds a shame as there's no value in sitting still. Keep up the good work and I look forward to the old girl cracking 150rwhp ,.

Turns out I may be a torana owning bogan dick but Shannon's will insure a complete SS Torana for over $50,000. Would that make me a financially savvy torana driving bogan dick when it's completed?
