We knew that the 1/10--scale Desert Truck from Losi was going to be a lot of fun when we first caught wind of it. Upon further inspection we were impressed with the list of features that have been designed into this truck. We had an opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the Desert Truck over the course of several afternoons to see how neat this truck truly is. Check out the video below for our comprehensive performance review. For more technical information, you can check out our preview of the Losi Desert Truck on HorizonHobby.com, search Article 1786

  • do the lights run of the off the battery and what is the best NIHM battery for it

  • is that metal roll bar work on the back ? losi should make a scale 1/10th sc like that

  • @HorizonRCdotCom is this truck lipo ready?

  • @HorizonRCdotCom does this model have reverse? Also if i was to but this truck what is the first upgrade you suggest for all round performance? I plan to run everything from a motocross track to pavement and gravel to sand ect.

  • yet another paid review

  • @HPIEfirestormht The higher the KV rating the faster the motor

  • @HPIEfirestormht You don't need to spend a lot to get a good brushless system. Check out the Dynamite Fuze 5800kv and 6800kv systems. You can get the combos for either, motor w/ESC for under $115.

  • @1Jinxed1 I charged the pack at 6amps, nothing too extraordinary.

  • @HorizonRCdotCom

Not trying to be rude sorry!!

4800mah battery charged in 45mins? you must be punishing that battery.

15-20 minute run? id expect a little more from that battery.

  • @1Jinxed1 How so? The included motor has a relatively low current draw and that's a pretty high capacity pack too.
