Why are the Indie fem singer's so much better...and for some reason more attractive than an others...Karen O, Emily Haines, Laura Marling, Zooey Deschanel, Leslie Feist, Alison Sudol, etc. ?? It's amazing. And wonderful.

@knowwhatimean92 She may get more attention because she's female, but I would argue that being female makes her that much more distinctive since there are so few females performing music like this. She really does have a unique style, both visual and vocally. I'd say the attention is warranted.

Impressive that Letterman had this band on his show, I used to think of him as a conservative stiff back in the 90s but he's turned out to be actually pretty liberal when it comes to art/music.

People only talk about Karen because it's the same in any band with a hot female vocalist, same with Paramore, Lacuna Coil, etc.
