While my family is very supportive of my choices, I realize that many do not have it as easy. My mom was actually the one who told me that god made me who I was and that god is the only one that could judge me at a time when I was struggling with who I was. I now know I am me.

This song is very sad. I also told my mother and step dad that I'm a lesbian and they yelled at me and told me I could never talk to my girlfriend again. :| They also told me it was just a "phase" No, it's not. I've known this since I was 9 years old. I know who I am, and who I am is a lesbian. Yes, I'm not ashamed of who I am, though my family is..... :|
