@northwest90s The song's title is Joey, it's off their first tape. My parents have a still functional copy of that tape. My personal favorite off the tape is "The game".

@RantzH Yes that's what it was. That song kicked ass.

It was called "Chicken Toast" or something equally random. Asked Peter about it once and he just shrugged and laughed.

what song is this?

If any one has Beyond the Sun in any capacity please post it. It was such an amazing song. Too many good memories of the summer of '92. Was it really 18 years ago already? (Ok now I'm feeling kinda old and nostalgic).

i love(d) this band so much. some of my best feelings ever were from standing in front of them listening to them play. so much fun that brought so much joy. that may sound dumb but it's true.

I recently heard Inflatable Soule will be playing a "reunion" gig at the J&M in Pioneer Square sometime in August, 2010. ??

@jtipke Inflatable Soule was (and still is!) one of the greatest bands of all time. I say this from experience, since I saw you guys over 40 times! Thanks for dedicating Beyond the Sun to my girlfriend and I at a Pain in the Grass show back in 1995. I will always remember that. I once travelled from to Spokane just to see you guys play! I have known Peter since gradeschool! (Yes, I know who all the people are in "Sorry Marty".) Thanks for all the great times!

Probably out of the music scene. Katy and Peter are the only band members I know that are still in a band. But they are in seperate bands because Peter is currently living on the east coast.
Yes, the song was Beyond the Sun, it was a long slow song, really sweet. I have a copy on cassette somewhere... We used to play it towards the middle of the set.
