Pokemon Sapphire Walkthrough Part 70: Elite Four #4 - Drake

This is part 70 of my ongoing walkthrough for Pokemon Sapphire.

In this video, we battle the fourth member of the Elite Four, Drake.

Drake specializes in dragon types. Yup, pretty much the toughest type in the game. Ice types will do great, dragon is also super effective against itself. This is usually the battle where people find out whether or not they're REALLY ready for the Elite Four. Everybody's team is different, and honestly, some people just don't match up well again Drake. If that is the case, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just get back to training...
This is the type of battle where if you can't beat him, you CANT beat him. Some of his Pokemon are just too powerful to deal with at lower levels without big typing advantage. My advice is to save your game and battle him around 5 times. That should give you an idea of how to match up against him. If you are still failing after several more tries, you might be better off taking the loss and going through the E4 again, leveling up more along the way. There's no shame in losing! The revenge will be sweet when you're stronger! This battle is serious business. Arguably the hardest fight in the game.

Overall Difficulty: 9/10

Salamence is a really powerful pokemon because it is pseudo-legendary. These pokemon have very high stats making them very powerful.
