Star Trek Enterprise: Battle of Azati Prime

The NX-01 Enterprise goes into battle against four Xindi vessels and get's pwned big time the ship get's turned into swiss cheese and people get blown out into space. This is battle is from the 3rd season episode entitled "Azati Prime" the event's of this battle lead to another one called "Star Trek Enterprise: "Damage" Battle"

@Jonno92100 Keep in mind that near the end of the pilot episode of Enterprise, Archer, in all seriousness, says to Tucker "Let's hope that's the last time anyone takes a shot at us". NX-01 was designed for saying Hello from the planet Earth" & hosting 1st contact ceremonial dinners, and not for travelling deep into enemy territory all by itself and facing off with 4 enemy ships. The "We come in peace, offering friendship, and carrying monstrous guns" days didn't come until much later.

Enterprise was a great show that deserved to be treated so much better and it deserved more seasons. Instead we got that horrible reboot years later, instead of more Enterprise and more reality TV shows.

When that episode ended and there wasn't another one for several months, it was quite the wait due to that cliffhanger.

Someone might have already mentioned this, but in 'Home' Archer mentions how the Columbia is designed with stronger weapons and hull plating, based on what they had learned on Enterprise.

@miloootic I meant that the more advanced ships relies more on shields and energy protection than these (Archer's) ships did back in this time period. Therefore since they didn't have shields to protect them they had to make them a little bit more harder to withstand being shot to bits. I'm sure ships like Enterprise D and E and Voyager and so on were tough too. Just they had shields to help them than Archer's Enterprise had.

The Intrepid class was weaker than the Defiant (a purpose built battle ship) and the Galaxy Class (the flagship far bigger than Voyager).

@80smusicfanNO1 the D was always the weakest ship in TNG/DS9/VOY it blew up every time a feather would touch it. the Defiant took massive beating and so did Voyager and survived(''Year of hell'',''Starship down'')
