  • Its hard to model the rib cage at this scale and also with the firmness of the clay I am using as its quite soft. Also since I will be building muscles over them so why bother :)

  • whats on that brush youre using?

  • Earlier I was using Thinner to smooth the sculpey. Then I realized it's not necessary. A firm brush is enough to do the job. So to answer your question again. Nothing on the brush. Just used it to brush out any kinks and bumps.

  • Super Sculpey Ecorche Figurine Sculpting-Part 129!..ha ha!...seriously these vids are awesome!..i love the way the details are added and the figure is progressing...great to know all this is anatomically accurate too!...are you going tp paint in the muscles and bones etc when finished?

  • yes, the final model will be molded and cold cast in Polyurethane Resin and be painted. Stay tuned.

  • hey can you bake sculpey to save your sculptures? i use crayola air dry and it just dries like plaster however i feel sculpey would make my art look better quality

  • Could you tell me how you keep your sculptures so clean? Whenever I touch mine or set them down, the get dirt and hair stuck in them. Yes, I have a clean area with wax paper set down but they still get dirty. Please, I need help.

    Thanks.

  • @flavs0985 I didn't make this I was just looking for sculpture ideas and stumbled across your comment and thought Id help you out if you have anymore questions about sculpey just feel free to ask

  • @blackhawk2540 thanks a lot!! ill look for it and probably give it a try! again a great piece!!!

  • @flavs0985 He is using oven bake clay and the brand name is Super Sculpey and you can find it at Hobby Lobby for 10$

  • @iamthelegoking

It depends. Some sculpey that has been on the shelf for sometime generally will start to harden. Fresh ones will have a fresh sculpey smell and should not be hard. The pink ones should be squishy , the grey one should be firmer then the pink one, and sculpey original the white one is the softest. Hope that is helpful. I have a video on mixing and preparing the sculpey before modeling. Its my recipe to get the consistency of the sculpey that I am looking for.

  • great job, very beatiful, im sorry i have a question, whats the name of the material you are using?? whats the name of the brand you usually use, i really would thank you for the information!!!

  • awe i wanted to see how you were going to model the rib cage. lol
