Chuck Kraemer discusses some of his contributions to WCVB over the years. This segment includes lots of great footage of what the news sets looked like in the late '70s and early '80s.

From the station's 20 year anniversary broadcast on 3/25/92.
Chuck Kraemer is brilliant. His straight faced delivery is side splitting. I wish someone would post more clips. I remember one segment he did on used cars where he opens the door of a Mustang II and it falls off. The news was a lot more fun back then. What a shame he's not still doing his thing. I love the Bob Vila parody with the 1 and a 1/2 hour swimming pool installation !!!!

Kraemer has an incredibly high opinion...of himself. He wasn't well liked at the station (I worked there) and he always acted like you should be honored to breath the same air I am. Chucks a loser, stick with woodworking it suits your personality.

This was classic. Kraemer is one in a million..he was so notorious for saving that stuff that on the next anniversary special he poked fun at everyone's past hair/clothing styles with his own rendition of "Hey, Look Me Over" ("Hey look this over, check out the hair/very Mary Richards, but at least some hair was there [Chuck points to self]") lmao
