See the best gutter guard in the world - Alex Higginbotham's revolutionary MasterShield Gutter Protection.

Most homeowners try to put off the seasonal hassle of gutter cleaning, it's a dirty job that makes many people realize they've got a fear of ladders and heights. Alex Higginbotham, inventor of the MasterShield gutter guards, has created technology that independent testers have come to appreciate as the best thing available to date for regular gutter maintenance. A little more than a decade ago, Edward "Alex" Higginbotham was a gutter and siding installer known for coming up with innovative ideas to solve light construction related issues. Today, he is the Father of Micro Mesh Gutter Guards and a leader in field of gutter protection.

Several others have tried to claim similar micromesh technology; no one other than Higginbotham has a patent on a filtering membrane touched on the underside by a downward extending plane, the core of all of his embodiments. MasterShield's competitive edge comes from remaining on the cutting edge and incorporating the latest advancements and improvements that Alex Higginbotham has developed.

Mr. Higginbotham went against conventional wisdom: gutter guards prior to his technology couldn't work if the screen over them was any finer than a window screen. By observing water and the ways it passed through different materials, he eventually patented the first micro mesh filter to sit atop a gutter guard, refining it to surgical grade stainless steel filtration a few years later.

The system is designed to continue the pitch of the roof to keep it as maintenance free as possible by using a stiff breeze down the roof line to blow most debris away. By creating a virtually solid surface to the eye, his MicroVortex cloth can prevent any debris larger than 50 microns, which is half the width of a human hair, from passing into the gutter (municipal drinking water is typically filtered to 80 microns by comparison). Through elements in its unibody design, MasterShield creates a siphon that allows water to be pulled through the system by changing its forward momentum.

A gutter protected by MasterShield will not cause the interior of the gutter to clog with debris by completely enclosing the gutter, only allowing filtered water through its virtually solid looking surface.
