  • There have been in the past, and there are in other ensembles, including the current Two O'Clock Lab Band. I would also like to see the diversity of our program increase. It's fairly diverse in terms of international students compared to students from the U.S., and male and female musicians. We can do better, by doing more recuiting, for example. My colleagues and I are making plans to make this happen. Your suggestions are invited. --John Murphy, UNT jazz faculty member
