Bravo to the pianist!
I think the tempo at the beginning was a little fast.
I'm trying to imagine marching down the street to that.
Great song. Congratulations, and thanks for performing Ives.
Sincerely,
Mary Westbrook-Geha

you sound like your having a heartattack. chill on the vibrato. its defeating the purpose of PITCH.

I love it very nice, but please when singing Ives, use your nice vibrato with more care.

I am always happy to hear musicians playing Mr. Ives' music.
This piece is one of my favorite songs of Ives because it is written from the viewpoint of an excited young boy at the parade.
I've listened to many very talented vocalists perform his songs and I personnally found those who sing with the least vibrato, sounding the least operatic, express a true down to earth American sentiment. Thank you very much jemminer99 for posting this video and to the musicians for their performance.

Thank you very much! I absolutely love Ives! This was a very fun piece to perform because of the perspective you speak of. I feel that the piece in itself is a small masterpiece!
Thanks very much for your comment!
