at half speed so when sped up it was an octave higher. If you'd heard the bootleg out takes, Harrison's lead really sucked (listen to John's comments), so it was replaced by what we hear now.

Its a bit more complex. George Martin's idea was to start Hard Days Night with a chord opening, and also to fade out with the 12 string. The opening chord is basically the same as used in I Feel Fine. It is George's older Rick 12 (it is a '63, but he got it in '64, he did get a newer single binding one in '65, I have the '63 reissue, with the double binding).
