I bought an HS 5500 recently too...I noticed that you are using a Korg 4 Channel mixer with effects...how do you like this mixer? I am torn between either getting the one you have...Korg Zero 4...Denon 1500...or go a more expensive route? What do you suggest for a mixer with this Denon unit?

Hi, I was bought this Denon mixer because it has a very nice design, nice feel and on top of this got a kaos padd inside :)... So, its a nice mixer to have. There is also a 2 channel version.

Check Denon Forum! Major problems addressed to this unit has been resolved! This is a reliable unit with technology way ahead of its time... Pioneer users diss Denon coz they dont want to admit that they paid a lot just to know that they could have gotten a Denon with the same features, if not better, at a cheaper price.

@DJsonnyANTWERPEN yes thats for ignorant bedroom djs whose opinions are based on youtube video. controllers are cool but if u get out to the real world you'll see that pioneers are still the standard. and future is definetely not timecode. it was just a middle step.

@bassl1ne hallo, i think you should try dns3700 ... you can beat the usb feature of precize 000,0bpm so acurate that makes mixing much more acurate end faster then ever...you can mix without headphones just on feel.. wery sirioes decks... i onderstend that 5500 have dubbel output but 3700 are like "porsche" of cdj's.

@DJsonnyANTWERPEN I actually really like my Denon now, it still suffers with a little cue slip but I work with it. Had a play with some Pioneers recently and much prefer the scratch pad on the Denon. Given the minimum difference in functionality between this and pioneer the Denon is the much better price by far. I wish they would produce an updated version of this dual deck, I would certainly buy it.

@bassl1ne first cdj's from pio were not so good eather... only last mark3 were good done..but hey there time is past.. usb+midi decs winns now... end pio in jear oor twoo will loose its chair in clubs..but hey why you think people think mercedes is the best? because of price tag,simple as that....cheers..

@kflynt2006 WAS the industry standard.. watch litle bit better video's of dj's end will see them use laptop's with time code cd's.. oor controllers.. cd era is going to die...mp3 winns.. sad but true...i use denons3700 with usb's end must admit that they sound great on those mp3 song's.. when i read denon techincal information of denon i found they use burr-borrows op ams in audio path end these are use only for high end equipant for special sound.. i think future is timecode...cheers

@coi10 hoi.. i used dns3500 2jears for mobile party's+ddm4000 mixer end this year i use dns3700's end must say denon is =reliable,good ,durable,pushing all nite end no problem's.. denon is ahead of pioneer.i have cdj's 900 BUT they are standing now for sale as i love to work those "digital turntables"=denon's... end jess two for 1600e.. worth every penny.. end yess when new denon comes out i will buy again...cheers..

Cue slip fixed with latest update. As well as several other reported glitches. Finally denon came good. :)
