GDHS Basketball vs VVS

News clip from Finals of tournament held at VVS in Christmas 2006 between Georgetown District High School, Georgetown Ontario (GDHS) vs VVS Red Devils.

Dalton Olinoski has gone on to play Basketball at the University of York and was named to the OUA 2007 - 2008 All Rookie Team. Due to an injury in 2009 Dalton had to retire from Basketball.

Brett Neumann has gone on to Play in the OCAA at Fleming College in Peterborough for the Fleming Knights.
Brett is currently 2011 playing with the Humber Hawks of the OCAA.

GDHS History
Georgetown High, was officially opened on January 10 1887. On that first day of classes, the 69 students enrolled in the new High School were instructed by a staff of two teachers. The new three and a half building site was purchased and the High School was opened in 1889. Mr. Edward J. Lennox was the architect of the new High School. Mr. Lennox was also involved in the design of Old City Hall, Casa Loma, the King Edward Hotel and Massey Hall, all present historical buildings in the City of Toronto. By the year 1913 the school had an enrolment of 120 students taught by 4 staff. At present the High School has an enrolment of 1600 students with a teaching staff of 100

GEORGETOWN (Halton Hills)is located approximately 60km west of Toronto, situated on the Credit River, and is part of the municipality of Halton Region. Georgetown is part of the Greater Toronto Area.
