  • It was via The Searchers' 1965 cover (Kapp Winners' Circle Series KJB-49) that I was first exposed to this tune . . .

  • In the late '70s, I once wore an old shirt which had a bumblebee design, and a friend who was older sang this song to me - which at that point I'd never heard before. "A bumblebee, a EVIL bumblebee!"
