    In general, I recommend that artwork be created using the Adobe RGB 1998 working space for the widest color gamut.

    I do not have a lot of experience with CMYK so I take it that US Sheetfed Coated is a wider color gamut than SWOP?

    For most of our printers, we provide output profiles that match the driver/inkset for that printer.

  • Great job getting the word out about color management. Far too many people care, and they should.

    A few things to consider.

    If your document profile is specified at SWOP, then you are constraining your gamut for your output device. If you are creating artwork for production in a variety of different mediums, then US Sheetfed Coated is probably the way to go. If a user is going to create content and then print it using only one device, the their input profile and output profile should match.
