Is this strip private? Looks like a great place to airplane camp.

Nice! But, can you takeoff again? *L* I'm trying to work up the confidence for the short strips in my '57 180. What a GREAT plane this is.

Try opening them and dropping all the flaps as you touch down. Just do the rudder dance....I'll approach at 50 knots or lower (Horton STOL), dropping the flaps pins you down. Years ago I was taught to land as slow as possible in tail draggers...Hard to break the habit.....I tend to wheel land on pavement though....Cate N180PK

Where is the Terminal? Nice job!

Was that a wheel landing or full stall? I tend to land my 180 on grass in a full stall and drop all the flaps on touch down.....Cate

Wheel landing. Most of my rough strip landings are wheelies because it allows me greater forward visibility.

A good landing indeed!
I sit up enough to be able to see..It's an endless debate wheel or full stall? Lots of fun either way and such an airplane!

If I full stall, my eyes are usually closed!
