I've had this cab for years but unfortunately it took a hit in shipping and at least one of the solder joints on the monitor chassis went cold causing the screen to flicker and eventually collapse. The monitor doesn't play a perfect picture but it's much better than when I first put the new chassis in. There are some convergence issues around the top and for some reason the left side of the screen is darker than the right side. If anyone has any tips on what may be causing that or how to fix it please let me know. I'll probably make another video showing it running a couple different kinds of hardware and test patterns to give a better idea of the issues, but for now at least I can play it.

  • awesome looking cab. How many total arcade cabinets do you have in your collection? I Really enjoyed seeing this machine.

  • @CRTcade Hey thanks, I've got five cabs right now.

  • gorgeous cab, it's japanese isn't it. I really like how polished and ornate there arcades can look.

You said it's running in vertical mode does that mean it comes with an opional horizontal mode

  • @fakeplasticball Thanks, and yes it's Japanese. The monitor is on vertical orientation right now, to switch it to horizontal they tube needs to be pulled out and manually rotated as does the monitor bezel.

  • lovely cab there boss, good luck getting the monitor chassis straight. Why is everything 10 times bigger in a cab, even the power supply is enormous!! Like the vertical screen, great game too, looking forward to that, I found out yesterday that the raiden fighter series is coming to xbox in September which is cool. They play better than the "high def" games in the series, raiden 3 & 4, which are pretty boring. Nice vid dude.

  • @futurematt5 Thanks Matt, still need to do some minor tweaks to the monitor but it's by far better than it was. Just made a ground cable for it as most of the Japanese cabs don't have a ground pin on the main power plug, now I need to install a volume control. All in all it's coming together very nice. I agree, IMO the Raiden Fighters series is way cooler then Raiden 3 & 4.

Thanks awesome dude! You've definitely got some of the coolest stuff I've ever seen. Do you have a new tour of your all your games stuff planned? I'd love to see everything. Thanks for replying to my msg and thanks for all the awesome videos as well. Take care man!

  • Wow, I'd love to get a Windy. Nice to see something different from the Astro and Blast City cabs that are so popular in the west.

  • @dankss Thanks man, be careful you ever decide to get one though, it fit through the front door but was too wide to fit through any of the interior doors.

  • Lovely looking cab and good to see the faults being resolved. Love to see gameplays on this beast someday. :)

  • Looks beautiful bro, very nice looking cab and great game to have in it. Gotta love changing the monitor around from Vert to Horiz, heavy as hell :O
