I modified a set of roller trainers to allow for more aggressive riding. Letting the entire roller frame move back and forth on a set of wheels makes it possible to stand and sprint without getting thrown off the sides.

  • That's a minoura mag unit you've got on there for resistance right?

What's the measurement for the bar size it's designed to clamp onto? Been wondering if I could get one to stick on my travel trac rollers.

  • I don't know. It didn't fit mine so I had to saw down the clamp part and then use that orange C-clamp as a block.

  • Your saddle is too far back.

  • You're right; I moved it forward a cm and it feels better. Thanks.

  • This is great! Can you please share the DIY plan? Thanks.

  • There are no plans - I just figured it out as I went along.

  • @ColeFried81 That music is really fucking awesome!

  • That music is really annoying... good design, though.

  • i'm too rolling on bike with RADIOHEAD in headphones... COOL

  • I'd patent that. =P

    Go make some monies like.

  • That's a pretty awesome design man. Have you ever tried using a old tube for the tension straps? I've used them as a replacement for tie downs many times over.

  • LOVE SOME RADIOHEAD IN THE BACKGROUND! I'M PUMPED!

  • I real like your trainer. Can you tell me the cost to biuld it. I love to ride. I used to ride 300 miles a week, now that I am older and more out of shape I would like to ride my road bike in the winter. I really want to build it. I plan to do a big race when I turn 40. I'll be 39 this year and need to get into shape. How much would it cost me to build it. Thanks for your help and your inspiration.

  • Great job!!

  • do you know if the frame shape of the nashbar parabolic rollers would work with this setup?

  • I love it when someone does something cool like this on their own instead of going out and buying something.

    Good Job!
