  • This anti-healthcare shit is ridiculous; guys fighting for their right to be fleeced by insurance companies! Haven't heard much from the insurance execs lately, but that's probably 'cause they're just now catching their breath from laughing so hard at their lemming stooges' antics.

  • that guy would be good in a soccer game...you know, when two running players bump into each other and one of them falls to the ground rolling around holding his leg like he's been run over by a truck. Then he either gets the other team penalized and limps off the field, or it doesn't get called and he gets up and keeps running.

It's bullshit and so is this guy. This is like that girl in PA claiming a black guy scratched a B in her cheek.

    When you've told a thousand lies, what's 1 more.

  • @Twisteddreamer78 Those slave-holding misogynists truly were completely infallible.

  • @TexasMAGIatAOL I find it hilariously ironic that you ended this incoherent rant with "Think!".

  • Liberal socialists simply can not overcome their great desire to defer the responsibility for their own future, welfare and now medical care upon their mother-figure...the govt. Their brilliant (sounding) arguments ignore the most basic of historical realities and understanding of human nature. False hopes! Perhaps this is so because we were created to be dependent on and worship our Creator...so all those hard-wired abilities and predispositions are there for a reason but wasted on atheism.

  • @TexasMAGIatAOL Universal healthcare is not a mistake. Universal healthcare is far cheaper, more efficient, and results in higher life expectancy and lower infant mortality.

What IS a mistake, is to let the health and insurance companies to rort the system every way they could, which was what was happening before the (relatively minor) reforms Obama made.

  • @dangerouslytalented

Dangerous indeed--Let me get this straight...you want the leader of the free world to make the same mistakes that the lesser nations have made because you have MORE FAITH in government to take care of you at tax-payer's expense than in taking care of YOURSELF in the most prosperous Nation on Earth? Are you really THAT lazy or has the liberal politicians' con job on the ignorant just fooled you into voting to give them total control over all of us? Think!

  • The Constitution is Old?

Democracy and even universal health care are much older. In Comparison the Constitution is still a toddler.

The problem is that people chose to sacrifice self Government for Security.

I'm not interested in the "world" I'm interested in my own country. The Constitution is still very much Valid and if we would have followed the Constitution in the first place we wouldn't have nearly the problems we do.

I'd prefer a strict literal interpretation of course.

  • A Literalist interpretation of the constitution is impossible these days, simply because (A) it was written 200 years ago, most of the amendments are very old too, and the world has changed and (B) it is deliberately vague and open to interpretation in order to be flexible.

Every other Westernised nation has universal healthcare, and eveyr one of those nations have benefited. Which would you prefer, a strict literal interpretation of the constitution, or a working healthcare system?

  • Of course that is my opinion from a perspective relying on a Literal translation of the Constitution.

I have my positions and I believe they're right but I have come to realize that anymore right and wrong are nothing more then a matter of perspective. All I can do is act according to my own conscience with the information that I have. I do a reasonable amount of research to stay up to date on the info available. I expect others to do the same instead of garnering all their info from the media.

  • The money for the health care bill is collected from the people whether they wish to give it or not. If I wanted to donate money to a charity, it's all well and good but if I decide to use my neighbors money against his consent for this charity it becomes a crime which is a violation of the rights stated in the constitution. Even If I get somebody to collect this money for me such as the Federal Government for example it's still a crime and a violation of that individuals rights.

  • Traditional Constitutionalists are considered Right wing but our ideals are pretty much the opposite of any big government agenda. We believe in extremely limited Government wherein the individual is free to govern themselves. By the way.......What is being referred to as capitalism today is in fact closer to being Corporatism which conflicts with Capitalism.
