An extended take in the band's original 3-piece format from the Spirits, August 30, 2008.
Into The Black -
Doug Collins - bass/vocal
Trent Crace - drums
Eddie Grey - guitar
Recorded using 2 room mikes located on the edge of the stage about 10' from the equipment line (one on the guitar side/one on the bass side) and two feeds from the sound board. The technique did not work as well as I had hoped so the sound quality has had to be enhanced with an very basic EQ rack, and Audio Editor Pro was used to balance the sides.
Guitar amp setup - Fender CS Two Tone amp with Fender Vibro King extension cabinet (3-12" Celestion V30s and 1-10" Celestion) Master volume on 4, Volume on 8
Guitar pedals used - Boss CE-2 chorus (Japan), Marshall Bluesbreaker (1st edition), Dunlop reissue Hendrix Fuzz on the closing lead, Original Vox Clyde wah
Guitar - stock 2008 American Standard, pickup selection in position 2
Warning loud cymbal ride from 4:00 4:20 watch your ears!!!
Sounds good to me. I like the principles. After midnight. Nice video.
