As long as you do drumming for yourself, and not to show off. I hate drummers who are so insecure, they spend hours everyday, putting themselves through grueling speed exercises just to impress everybody. When any musicians do that , they've missed the whole point entirely of what playing music is all about - its about having fun!!!! That's why i never listen to guys like malmsteen - mindless shredding!! All guys like that think about are to be faster than everybody else!!!! Pathetic.

Mr. Appice was impressive in his day but is now boring. So many double bass drummers out there just stretching the double bass concept far beyond Carmine's reach. A wafer? Who the fuck needs needs that? Vanilla wafer maybe. Can I get a glass of milk with that wafer?

I saw Mr. Appice live when he played for King Cobra. He played an amazing solo and left the crowd in awe. Upon the completion of his solo the crowd stood and gave him a standing ovation. It was fantastic!

it's crazy to see someone from that era playing that way! one word....pioneer!

God, this man knows what RnR is all about (no wonder after 50 years of playing). His playing is so appealing, it's sexy...

And so the idiot commenters come out to play again. Lest we all not forget Carmine was the man who got Bonham his first Ludwig kit, and it was a double bass kit originally, but he only used one. Ritchie Blackmore from Deep Purple said that anybody who was anybody was going to see Vanilla Fudge in the late 60's early 70's, not Hendrix like the common misconception. Carmine and Ginger Baker are the GODFATHERS of Rock drumming. Nobody did it like them first. End. Of. Story.

I like the East Coast Palookaville, Chicago-style hot dog drum sensibilities. "Yo, Vinnie, where's the pizza pie for Joe Schmoe?" Hey, go out to Coney Island and order a pop and big cheeze pretzle wif Snookie ya' big schlameel!" New York Port Authority is coming with their union thugs to make your a Hoagie sandwich with some Jersey Shore "situation" hot Pastrami grooves. Hey, yo, yo, raise your hand and order a bagel dog & some pizza pie off the New Jersey Turn Pike. Where's Frankie? Yo, yo!

On your mark get set GOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
I love musician comments. I bet half of the people here talking smack can't even keep a straight beat or be in any serious band. Let the professionals do their thing, if it sounds simplistic to yo than make your own video or start a band and then you can compare.
