The girl showing off her legs while the guy is talking serious things, is distracting at best and disrespectful to the speaker at worst.

@frichikendz I had a study somewhere from my sociology class in which it compared 1950's I believe it was, and 2000's. 80% back then when to school to earn an education, the other 20% went to school to obtain money. Now, these numbers swapped withing a span of 50 years. Now, you only have 20% going to school to inspire themselves and learn. Now, again, I am not exactly sure about the dates or the percent rates. I remember the numbers where close to that. If I find the paper, I'll get back to you

@frichikendz Are these make up gurus necessarily smart? Did they finish school? Probably not. They just started with youtube, and started making money little by little. Education becomes now underrated because at the end of the day, in America, you still don't have enough money to fulfill your 'American Dream.' And that is why I believe most people struggle through it.

This was a good video guys. I want to say, I think many people lose their direction on education because they see all these celebrities who are a disaster and dumb, and they make millions of dollars being stupid. And mind you, if you live in America, majority of the peoples heads and hearts are only concerned about money. So you see, you don't need education for money, you can get money being stupid. And maybe people realize this. You have make up gurus on youtube. PLENTY of them.

Anton: I must have been mislead because the video description said On education.I was unaware is was specifically going to cover University education.I think the reason why students do no have a fervent attitude towards Universities is because the preamble to the University was filled with unnecessary diversions such as that French class you took or the Geometry class you spent hours in, only to find out you will never be an architect. I think at the preamble is where the change should start.

how about the video gamers metaphors: high school is easy mode, undergrad is medium, graduate is hard level, and real life is "brutal", "legendary" or "insane"

just intime for the my freshmen year, thanks! ~ More dialogue videos please!
Interesting discusssion. I think often we ask "how should students deal with bad teaching" because we cant answer that other question: "how should faculties deal with bad teaching?" Beyond whatever review of teaching goes into the tenure and promotion process, there isnt much quality control. There are some egregiously bad teachers out there, and often the best a colleague can do is quietly steer his advisees away from them.
