    No instructable I'm sorry, but inside there is a 15 channel PWM generator that I designed and an RGB charlieplexed LED grid. Passing random PWM signals into a charlieplex grid works out quite nicely for this sort of thing.

    If you can wait a month or so, I'll have the code to the PWM generator available for download for a small fee at my web site. Pop over to the instructables site and PM me (rgbphil) for details if you like.
